Best Practice for Using
Sacred Tools

When it comes to using sacred tools such as Kuripe and Tepi, it’s important to approach them with respect, mindfulness, and a deep understanding of their cultural significance.

Cultural Respect

These tools and practices have originated from indigenous cultures and hold deep spiritual and ceremonial significance. It is essential to approach them with cultural sensitivity, honoring and respecting the traditions and knowledge associated with them. Educate yourself about the specific cultural practices, traditions, and protocols related to the use of these tools.

Set The Intention

Before using these sacred tools, take a moment to set your intention for the session. Whether it’s for healing, self-discovery, or spiritual connection, clarifying your purpose will enhance the experience.

Prepare The Space

Find a quiet and comfortable space where you won’t be disturbed during the session. Consider lighting candles, burning incense, or playing soft music to create a calming ambiance.

Cleanse and Ground

Begin by grounding yourself through deep breaths or a short meditation. This helps you center your focus and align with the healing process.

Choose Your Tool

Select either the Kuripe (self-applicator) or the Tepi (administered by another person) based on your preference and experience level

Focus and Relax

Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths, relaxing your mind and body, and allowing yourself to be fully present in the moment.

Position The Tool

If using the Kuripe, place one end in your nostril, creating a secure seal. If someone is administering your ritual with the Tepi, they will position it for you.

Breathe and Absorb

After your ritual is administered, take a few more deep breaths to allow the sacred medicine to work its magic. Notice any sensations or experiences that arise.

Administer your Ritual

If using the Kuripe, gently blow into the other end to release into your nostril. If using the Tepi, the person administering will gently blow into your nostril.

Rest and Hydrate

Drink plenty of water and rest if needed. Allow yourself time to integrate the healing effects of the sacred tools.

Reflect and Integrate

Take time after the session to reflect on your experience. Journaling or meditating can help you process any insights or emotions that may have surfaced.

Remember, using these sacred tools is a deeply personal and spiritual practice. Always approach them with respect and mindfulness. If you're new to these practices, consider seeking guidance from experienced practitioners or attending ceremonies led by knowledgeable individuals.
